川外学坛举行 “概念能力视角下外语‘隐性不地道现象’实证研究”学术讲座

2013年1219晚,川外学坛“学术大视野”教师讲堂在博文楼六楼报告厅如期成功举行。本次讲座以“概念能力视角下外语‘隐性不地道现象’实证研究:基于e-prime的实验设计与研究之(二)”为题,由姜孟教授主讲,赵永峰教授主持,廖巧云教授、胡文飞教授以及各年级研究生同学参加了本次学坛。
在讲座开始之前,2012级研究生范小艳同学与大家分享了两则治学、为人的箴言:“博学而笃之,切问而近思,仁在其中也。”、“木受绳则直,金就砺则利,君子博学而参省乎己,则知明而行无过矣。”这两则箴言劝诫我们:为人与治学都要立志专一多思多问,并且学会反省、历练自己。
姜孟教授的报告分为三个部分:第一部分,“隐性不地道现象”研究现状与不足;第二部分,概念能力假设及“隐性不地道现象” 发生的机理,也即该研究的理论建构;第三部分,实证研究。在第一部分,姜教授对“隐性不地道现象”研究现状做了简单介绍,分别介绍了国内外的理论和实证研究情况。在第二部分,姜教授首先对“语言概念能力”文献综述进行了总结,并在汲取认知科学、认知语言学、认知心理学、儿童发展心理语言学、心智哲学等多学科研究成果的基础上,提出了语言概念能力假设;然后,基于该假设,姜教授提出了“隐性不地道现象”的发生机理。在第三部分,姜孟教授清晰详细地阐释了基于e-prime的实验设计与研究,例如研究问题与方法、实验程序、实验数据的分析等。姜孟教授的报告,层层递进,逻辑清晰,深入浅出,娓娓道来,让大家获益匪浅并且深受启发。
在接下来的提问环节中,大家针对“隐性不地道现象”相关问题展开了讨论,提出了自己的问题。针对大家提出的问题,姜教授给予了深入、细致的解答。
接着,胡文飞教授应邀作了点评。他认为姜教授的报告话题新颖,非常具有挑战性和研究价值。其次,姜孟教授报告的内容非常充实,体现了报告人扎实的学术功底以及治学严谨、精益求精的精神。此外,胡教授还指出,姜教授使用的研究方法很具科学性、多样性,十分值得借鉴和学习。
最后,赵永峰教授做了总结性发言。他认为,姜孟教授的报告清晰明了,无论是报告所展示的理论构建的原理,还是他整个实验设计以及其使用的研究方法,都给了我们很大的启迪,值得深入思考并进一步探究。
本次学坛活动在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。

at 7 pm,dec19th, 2013, the sisu academic forum was heldsuccessfully as scheduled. this symposium, entitled “a conceptual competence perspective on the covert nonnative-like phenomenon in the fl learners’ use of the tl: an empirical study”was presented by professor jiang meng and hosted by professorzhaoyongfeng.professor hu wenfei, professorliao qiaoyunandmany postgraduates attended this symposium.
at the beginning of the forum, two maxims were presented as usual, whichexhorted us to persist in what we determine to do, anddoregularselfreflection.
before professor jiang meng’ s presentation, he first expressed his profound gratitude and sincere thanks to the lead researcher professor liao qiaoyun and professor wang lunan, and then the teachers and students who made their contributions to this research. afterwards, he made a brief introduction about his research background and achievements.
professor jiang meng’ s presentation includes three parts: the first part was about the literature review ofthe covert nonnative-like phenomenon; the second part concerned the construction of his theory; the third part was an illustration of his experimental design based on his theory.at first,professor jianggave us a brief introduction to the current situation ofthe covert nonnative-like phenomenonresearchathome and abroad, including theoretical work andempirical studies; in his second part, professor jiang proposed a linguistic conceptual competence hypothesis (lcch) which was based on a summary review of the linguistic conceptual competence and cognitive science. and thenhe undertook a theoretical account in terms of the hypothesis of the way cnp comes about. in the lastpart, professor jiang specifies his experimental design of this research, such as his research questions and methods, the experimental procedures, the analysis of the data and so on. with clear logic and good illustrations, all the students were deeply impressed by his presentation.
in the following questioning part, the teachers and students made some discussion aboutthe covert nonnative-like phenomenonand put forward their questions, to which, professor jiang answered patiently and carefully.
afterwards, professor hu wenfei expressed his opinion. he thought professor jiang’ s presentation was quite excellent, and his topic is original and challenging in the field of linguistics. he also thinks high of professor jiang profound theoretical knowledge and the rigorousness and thoroughness in his study. moreover, professor hu pointed out the diversity and the scientific nature of professor jiang’ s research methods, which merits our reference and study.
in the final part, professor zhao yongfeng made a summary. he said that professor jiang’s whole presentation was extremely clear and excellent. he also pointed out that professor jiang’s progressive theory-construction method and the whole experimental design gave us important enlightenment to the later study.before the ending,professor zhaoextended his gratitude toprofessor jiangagain.
at last, thunderous applause brought the sisu academic forum to a successful close.
